Bringing people together, building a stronger today for tomorrow.

Park Centre Burgess Hill Open

After four years of closure, Park Centre has officially reopened to the community. The much-loved youth and community centre in Burgess Hill welcomed back groups and hirers on 6th September 2025, marking an important milestone in its journey.

Park Centre is now available to hire seven days a week, from 8am to 10pm, offering flexible spaces for clubs, classes, meetings, and events. Already, the Centre is buzzing with activity, with a wide variety of groups now running sessions, including:

  • The Escape Youth Club (ages 10–18)
  • South Downs Amateur Boxing Club
  • Yoga With Eddie
  • Cindy Lou’s Line and Country Dancing
  • Storyhouse sessions for children
  • Little Glow Mid Sussex (sensory sessions for babies and toddlers)
  • Group Relaxation with Omara Hypnotherapy
  • Paracise with Sadie
  • Fortitude Taekwondo
  • Summerhaven Mental Health Support (Sunday drop-in group)
  • Create Space Studios (drama for ages 10–16)

This reopening is the first step towards a wider vision, with refurbishment plans set to take place over the next few years to make the building even more welcoming and accessible.

Trustees and volunteers have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring the Centre back into use, ensuring that the building can once again serve as a hub for local people.

“We’re thrilled to open the doors again and see Park Centre alive with activity,” said the trustees. “This space belongs to the community, and we can’t wait to see it thriving once more.”
